About
Nancy has always loved to MOVE! Earliest memories include outdoor play, swimming, biking, camping trips and piles of food to feed a family of eleven. She obtained degrees in Physical Therapy / Exercise Science and Certifications in Health / Well-Being and Lifestyle Medicine Coaching. Through the American Canoe Association, she has current certifications as a Coastal Kayak L4 Instructor; Adaptive Paddling Instructor Trainer and Advanced Communications Instructor Trainer.
Nancy has a passion for outdoor exploration of all kinds - especially disappearing in her kayak for days or weeks at a time. She can also be found on local mountain bike and cross country ski trails. Nancy is passionate about eating whole foods; learning about the human body, this amazing world and the myriad things that connect us.
Much of Nancy’s formal career was as a school PT, working with kids with disabilities. She also has extensive experience working with adults with disabilities. She has spent decades as a staff or volunteer at Bay Cliff Health Camp and currently is assisting with local adaptive ski and bike programs. Nancy loves fresh food from both her garden and local farmers. She is excited about her latest venture into Health Coaching and Lifestyle Medicine!
Through work and life experiences, Nancy has learned to focus on a person’s ABILITY: building on strengths to achieve goals on land and water with a view toward independence, function, and fun!
Nancy is based in Marquette, MI - eastern time zone.
